令和捌年（2026年）3月25日は大阪府藤井寺市にある道明寺天満宮に「菜種御供大祭｣の撮影に行きました。

近鉄　道明寺駅から約徒歩5分　駅前商店街を抜けた丘の上に神社があります。

 

道明寺という名前は明治時代以前の神仏習合の頃には同じ敷地内に寺と神社が建っていましたが、神仏分離によって分けられ寺は道明寺（尼寺）として別の近隣地にあります。

道明寺は菅原道真公の叔母様　覚寿尼公（かくじゅにこう）が住んでいた場所です。神社のHPによれば道真公が延喜元年（901年）大宰府に左遷される途中にも立ち寄って、覚寿尼公との別れを惜しんだそうです。この場面は「道明寺の別れ」として有名です。

その際辺り一面には菜の花が咲いていました。覚寿尼公は毎日陰膳を据えていましたが、その飯を粉にし、梅の実の形にした黄色の団子をこしらえたところ、病気平癒の効があるとして、参拝者がこぞって求めました。

これが河内の春を告げる神事となり、「河内の春ごと」として親しまれているそうです。

 

今年の3月は上旬朝晩の冷え込みが残る日もありましたが、下旬にかけて春らしい暖かさの日が増えました。しかし桜（ソメイヨシノ）の開花宣言は未だでした。

私は午前9時ごろに神社に到着して社務所にご挨拶をしてから神事の撮影を致しました。

ここまではお天気が何とか持ちこたえていましたが、お昼を過ぎる頃から気象予報通り雨が降ってきました。

私は長年撮影させていただいていますが雨天になったのは2回目でした。

雨天の場合は午後1時から社務所2階で猿田彦と一緒に稚児とその保護者たちがそれぞれ記念写真を撮影いたします。

生憎の天候となり残念ではありましたが、稚児とその保護者たちで華やかで愛らしい雰囲気となっていました。

Natane Goku Grand Festival 2026

It went to photograph of “Natane Goku Grand Festival (Shinto ritual of offering the yellow rice dumpling at the season of rape blossoms)" to Domyoji Tenmangu Shrine located at the Osaka Prefecture Fujiidera City at the 25 March 2026, and that is located about 5 minutes from Kintetsu Domyoji station.

That is the location of the old history of many archaeological sites have been excavated, this place is also a clan birthplace of Sugawara Michizane's Family as "Tenjin-Sama" public everyone knows as the god of learning.

In the ancient times, there is in the same place because of syncretistic fusion of Shintoism and Buddhism, but after it was the Ordinance Distinguishing Shinto and Buddhism at Meiji era that was separated into Shinto Shrine and Buddhism Temple.

Domyoji is where an aunt of Mr. Sugawara Michizane had lived. And this place is famous for story of "Parting of Domyoji".

This festival is based on a story that His aunt made the yellow rice dumpling for everyday for pray for him, they say that "Spring Festival of Kawachi (East part of Osaka-Prefecture)".

This March, while there were still some chilly mornings and evenings in the first half of the month, the weather became warmer and more spring-like towards at the end of the month. However, the cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino) had not yet been officially declared in bloom.

I arrived shrine at about 9:00am, and then moved to main shrine to photograph a Shinto Ritual. Children who participate in the festival came around noon.

The weather had held up until then, but as weathercast, it started raining around lunchtime. I've been photographing this event for many years, but this was only the second time it had rained.

In case of rain, commemorative photos will be taken with "Sarutahiko" (Shinto god) and the children and their families on the second floor of the shrine office starting at 1 PM.

Although the rain weather was unfortunately poor, the children and their families created a vibrant and lovely atmosphere.
