残雪の波心庭
東福寺 塔頭 光明院は1391年（明徳2）に開創され、別名「虹の苔寺」とも呼ばれているそうです。
池泉式の枯山水庭園「波心庭」は、日本を代表する昭和の作庭家 重森三玲の代表作の一つです。そのため度々テレビ中継されています。
そうした有名な寺院ではありますが、ご本山から少し離れていることもあって、参拝者は誰もいないことが多いです。
過去にはツツジが咲いている頃にでしたが、今回は少し積雪がある時に参拝しました。
今年の冬は特に寒く最近は数十年ぶりの寒気が覆っていました。やはり誰もおらず、真冬の風の音を聞きながらゆっくりと庭園を撮影しました。
積雪は少しですが、白い砂、黒い岩、緑の苔の上にうっすらと残る雪は別の趣を与えていて美しい景色でした。
東福寺へご参拝の折に足を伸ばすことをお勧めします。

Komyoin temple had been founded in 1391, which is sub-temple of the Tofukuji temple. They call that "Moss temple of the rainbow".
There is a dry landscape garden "Hashin-tei" Garden which was made by Mirei Fujimori, one of the most famous gardener in Showa era. So that was often relayed on TV. But that is bit away from Tofukuji temple, only few people come.
I came to that day of the cold once in several decades, of course, I am alone. There were the sounds of very cold winds. I watched very beautiful Zen garden with snow remaining.
Please come to visit.
