住吉大社 観月祭 Harvest Moon Shinto Ritual in Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine
住吉大社 観月祭
観月祭は毎年 中秋の日に行われる住吉大社の神事です。
神事は本殿祭の後、反橋で献詠入選歌の神職による披講、住吉踊保存後援会よる住吉踊の奉納、天王寺楽所と雅亮会による舞楽の奉納が行われます。
平成30年（2018年）は9月24日になります。

調べてもなぜか文献や資料が見つかりませんでしたが、中秋日の月は古式に則って建てられた神社では鳥居の間から登ります。
住吉大社の場合は鳥居と反橋が殆ど同一線上にありますので、反橋の向こう側から月が昇ってきます。
神事が進行して舞楽の奉納の頃には見慣れていない一般の方は殆どいなくなってしまいますが、この古式に則った神事の雅な様子を最後まで鑑賞することをお勧めします。

Harvest Moon Shinto Ritual in Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine
In Japan, there are customs of an enjoyment of the moon to appreciate the autumn beautiful moon from the ancient times and is said to be "Tsukimi" or "Kangetsu".
The "Tsukimi" on the nights of August 15 (the fifteenth night) of the lunar calendar (old calendar) is most famous.
Nowadays, I photograph the "Tsukimi" as the traditional festival "Kangetsu-sai" festival (Harvest Moon Shinto Ritual) in Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine as the members of a group "Sumiyoshi Odori".
After main ritual, there are hold the recitation of Japanese poetry, dedication of the Sumiyoshi Odori Dance and the Bugaku in that Shinto Ritual.
This year, it will be hold at September 24 2018, please visit to feel Japanese tradition.
