浦江八坂神社（正式名称　素盞烏尊神社）の夏祭を令和4年（2022年）7月17日に撮影に伺いました。JR西日本環状線　福島駅から徒歩約10分の場所です。

浦江八坂神社　公式ホームページによれば～（以下引用）当神社の由来は、詳ではありませんが、浦江村（現鷺洲及び大淀の一部）の鎮守として、足利時代には既に存在しました。

御神楽奉納
Dedication of Kagura Dance

以前は、牛頭天王社とも、祇園社とも称されましたが、明治五年「素盞烏尊神社」と改称し村社に列せられました。氏子の方々からは、「浦江の八坂さん」と親しまれています。～とあります。

この神社の宮司様には大阪天満宮にお勤めされていた時からお世話になっています。

龍踊り奉納
Dedication of Dragon Dance

昨年も同じように夏祭の時に伺ったのですが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の第5波の緊急事態宣言下であったため神事のみの催行となりました。今年は行動制限が行われていないため感染リスクに十分気を付けた上で催行となりました。

I visited to Urae Yasaka Shrine to photograph the Summer Festival at 17th July 2022. That is located at about 10 minutes from Fukushima Station of JR West.

宮司様の挨拶
Chief priest of this shrine

They say that from the official homepage that the origin of this shrine is not known, but it already existed in the Muromachi period(1338-1573) as a Village Shrine of Urae (current: Sagisu-town and a part of Oyodo-town).

御神楽奉納

I have been indebted to the chief priest of this shrine since he was working at Osaka Tenmangu Shrine.

龍踊り奉納
Dedication of Dragon Dance

I visited at the summer festival last year, but since it was under the state of emergency of the 5th wave of COVID-19 infection, it was held only for the Shinto ritual. Because there are no restrictions on behavior this year, it was held after paying close attention to the risk of COVID-19.

I thank you for everyone of this shrine.
