2023年（令和5年）9月29日は大阪府大阪市住吉区の住吉大社「観月祭｣の撮影に伺いました。

本殿神事

住吉大社は古来　摂津国 (せっつのくに＝大阪府北西部と兵庫県南東部を占める旧国名) の中でも、由緒が深く、信仰が篤い神社として、「一の宮」という社格で人々に親しまれてきたそうです。

住吉大社といえば大阪で最も人出がある初詣先で、期間中に約260万人が訪れる全国的にみてもトップ10に入る人気です。所在地は大阪府大阪市住吉区住吉2-9-89で南海電車　住吉大社駅から徒歩５分程度の場所です。

献詠歌

観月祭は毎年　中秋の日に行われる住吉大社の神事です。

神事は本殿祭の後、反橋で献詠入選歌の神職による披講、住吉踊保存後援会よる住吉踊の奉納、天王寺楽所　雅亮会による舞楽の奉納が行われます。

令和5年（2023年）中秋日は9月29日になりました。更に今年は満月と重なりました。

新型コロナ感染症蔓延の影響で４年ぶりのご催行となりました。

 

調べてもなぜか文献や資料が見つかりませんでしたが、中秋日の月は古式に則って建てられた神社では鳥居の間から登ります。

住吉大社の場合は鳥居と反橋が殆ど同一線上にありますので、反橋の向こう側から月が昇ってきます。

舞楽奉納

神事が進行して舞楽の奉納の頃には見慣れていない一般の方は殆どいなくなってしまいますが、この古式に則った神事の雅な様子を最後まで鑑賞することをお勧めします。

I had visited to Sumiyoshi-Taisha shrine in Osaka-City Sumiyoshi Ward to shoot the "Harvest Moon Shinto Ritual " at September 29 2023.

献詠歌
The recitation of Japanese poetry

There is located about 5 minutes’ walk from Sumiyoshi-Taisha station of Nankai train.

Sumiyoshi-Taisha shrine has been most popular to people and called "Ichinomiya of Settsu". They say "Settsu" in ancient that is the old country which accounts for northwest of Osaka Prefecture and southeastern of Hyogo Prefecture.

Sumiyoshi-Taisha shrine is a popular of the top 10 of the New Year's visit to a shrine of Japan.

 

In Japan, there are customs of an enjoyment of the moon to appreciate the autumn beautiful moon from the ancient times and is said to be "Tsukimi" or "Kangetsu".

The "Tsukimi" on the nights of August 15 (the fifteenth night) of the lunar calendar (old calendar) is most famous.

Nowadays, I photograph the "Tsukimi" as the traditional festival "Kangetsu-sai" festival (Harvest Moon Shinto Ritual) in Sumiyoshi Taisha shrine as the members of a group "Sumiyoshi Odori".

After main ritual, there are hold the recitation of Japanese poetry, dedication of the Sumiyoshi Odori Dance and the Bugaku in that Shinto Ritual.

This year, it had been held at September 29 2023.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, after 2019 hasn't been held, except for some Shinto rituals. Therefore, it has been the first time in four years that the festival has been held as almost before in this year.
