令和7年「のだふじ巡り」

春日神社の藤

フジ（学名: Wisteria floribunda）は、マメ科フジ属のつる性落葉木本であり日本固有種です。同属にヤマフジ（学名: Wisteria brachybotrys）があります。

別名「ノダフジ」は植物学者　牧野富太郎が地名である野田を基に命名したとされています。

古くから有名な春日神社 (大阪市福島区)あたりは「吉野の桜、高尾のもみじ、野田の藤」と言われる程に有名で、江戸時代の浮世絵　浪花百景「野田藤」（画: 芳瀧）にもなっています。

今年は昨年までと違って気温の上昇がゆっくりであるため、藤花の開花も少しゆっくりで一部では未だ満開になっていませんでした。

令和3年（2021年）春日神社を訪れた際に所有者である藤三郎　様から歴史や活動のお話を伺いました。今年は奥様から丁寧に説明をいただきました。

場所を移動して、下福島公園には多くの藤棚があり、多くの方が色と香りを楽しんでいました。最後に浦江聖天（如意山了徳院）に着き、未だ七分咲きという最高の状態の美しい藤花を楽しませていただきました。

Tour of the Noda Wisteria 2025

There are two species of the Japanese wisteria, one is "Noda Wisteria " which has a clockwise rotation ivy and the other is "Silky wisteria" which has an anticlockwise rotation ivy. The standard wisteria is "Wisteria floribunda" and what Japanese name is "Noda Fuji" or "Fuji". "Noda" is a place name of Osaka and "Noda Fuji" was named by Dr. Makino Tomitaro from that place name. "Noda Fuji" was drawn on an ukiyo-e of "100 view of Naniwa" in Edo era.

Unlike last year, the temperature is rising slowly, so the wisteria flowers are blooming a little slowly and some parts are not yet in full bloom.

When I visited Kasuga Jinja Shrine in 2021, I heard about the history and activities of the shrine from the owner, Mr. Fuji Saburo. This year, his wife gave me a detailed explanation about this event.

Then I moved to Shimo Fukushima Park, there were many wisteria trellises, and many people were enjoying the colors and fragrance. Finally, we arrived at Urae Shoten (Nyoizan Ryotoku-in Temple) and enjoyed the beautiful wisteria flowers, which were still in their best condition, about Seventh bloom.
