令和㯃年 岸和田だんじり祭

2025年（令和7年）9月14日は大阪府岸和田市の岸城神社 「岸和田だんじり祭」（本宮）の撮影に伺いました。
私の撮影は岸城神社に許可を頂いて行っております。
岸城神社の所在地は南海電車 蛸地蔵駅から徒歩5分程度の場所です。

岸城神社は全国的に有名な「岸和田だんじり祭」の聖地として有名ですが、地元では岸和田城の別称「千亀利城」（ちぎりじょう）と岸城神社が岸和田城鎮守神であったことから「ちぎりのお宮」とも呼ばれているそうです。
「だんじり祭」の起源は所説あるようですが、村のお宮が城主の信仰するお宮となった歴史があり、「だんじり祭」も一時期城入りがメインとなっていたそうです。
明治維新後は神社の位置付けもかわり「だんじり祭」が氏神岸城神社への一年の感謝の祭りとして再生されたといわれています。

最近では氏子の方や市民の事情や祝日法の改正による「敬老の日」の変更によって、岸城神社の例祭とは別の日に開催されています。2025年（令和７年）は9月15日に催行されました。
私は毎年 岸城神社のご協力の下15町の宮入を撮影しており、午前9時30分頃から午後1時30分頃まで撮影しています。「だんじり」といえば「動の祭」というイメージがあり、特に、「やりまわし」といわれる辻を曲がる動作の「一糸乱れぬスピード感」が見応えといわれています。

私は逆に「静の美しさ」を表現するため、宮入の際にしか見られない「化粧ふきちり」で飾られただんじりを神職がお祓いする様子を撮影しています。

同時に祭りに参加している子どもたちを撮影しています。これは、子どもたちの様子から祭りという伝統文化の地域との関係、そして伝統文化の次世代継承について表現するためです。過去2回 岸和田市立 岸和田だんじり会館で写真展を開催しました。

今回は岸城神社様のご協力で神社の法被を着用して撮影いたしました。今年は例年にない暑さでもあったので無理のない範囲で撮影させていただきました。

I have been to photographing of Kishiwada
Danjiri Festival Miyairi to Kishiki Jinja Shrine located at the Osaka
Prefecture Kishiwada City in 14 September 2025. I am an official photographer
of this for over 10 years. That shrine is located at about 5 minutes from
Takojizo Station of Nankai Electric Railway.

Kishiki Jinja Shrine is famous for the holy place of "Kishiwada Danjiri Festival". And that shrine is called "The shrine of matchmaking and promise", because that shrine has been located nearby Kishiwada Castle, that’s another name "Chigiri Castle". "Chigiri" means matchmaking and promise.

There seemed to be the various views in the origin of "Kishiwada Danjiri Festival", but there was the history that the shrine of the village became the shrine of the lord of the Kishiwada Castle, and at that time, the main event was that the Danjiri entry into a castle. But the festival has changed as the Dedication to a Kishiki Jinja Shrine after Meiji era.
I have been photographing the scene of
Miyairi of 15 towns at Kishiki Jinja Shrine in every year. *Miyairi; refers to
the portable shrine go into the shrine's premises.

They say that Kishiwada Danjiri Festival is "Festival of the motion" represented by "Yarimawashi (changing the direction of Danjiri at the corner)". But I photograph the scene of Miyairi as "Festival of the stillness", the decollated Danjiri, the purifications to Danjiri by the Shinto priest, and the others.

And I photograph the children of the festival. Because I express it about the relations the local area and the traditional festival and the next-generation succession of the traditional culture through the Children's behavior.
I have been held photo exhibitions at the Kishiwada Danjiri Hall twice in the past.

This year, the cooperation of Kishi Jinja Shrine, I have been able to take the photos wearing the shrine's happi coats. And that has been unusually hot, so I have taken the photos as reasonably as possible.
