2026年（令和捌年）7月24日から25日は大阪府大阪市北区の大阪天満宮｢天神祭｣の撮影に伺いました。

大阪天満宮の所在地は地下鉄南森町駅から徒歩５分程度の場所です。

天神祭は日本三大祭の一つなので全国的に有名で毎年テレビ中継もあります。

7月24日に宵宮があり、7月25日には本宮が行われます。

天神祭は大阪天満宮が鎮座した2年後の天暦5年（９５１年）6月1日より始まったとされていますが、今日までに戦乱や動乱、感染症の蔓延　等で何回も中止されています。

新型コロナウィルス感染症では2020年（令和２年）から2023年（令和5年）の５月に５類感染症に移行するまでは通常の祭りは行われませんでした。

 

7月24日は宵宮祭が行われました。

朝の本殿神事に続き、堂島川の中ほどで神童による鉾流神事が行われます。

神事の後お宮に戻ると様々な講の宮入が行われました。

7月25日は本宮祭が行われました。

午後から本殿で神事が行われました。

その後神社から出発する陸渡御では例年先頭を進む御神水、猿田彦と一緒に行動させていただいています。

渡御列は中央公会堂を過ぎて天神橋北詰で渡御船に乗船します。

昨年に続き私は2箇所から行われる奉納花火を撮影するため大阪造幣局の対岸会場に向かいました。

午後10時過ぎから宮入、還御祭が行われ、鳳神輿、玉神輿の宮入が行われました。

天神祭は大阪を代表する大規模な祭りであるため、1人で全てを撮影するのは何年もかかります。

Tenjin Festival of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine in 2026

 

I had been to shooting the Tenjin Festival of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine in Osaka-City, North ward in from July 24 to July 25 2026.

Osaka Tenmangu Shrine is location a place of about 5 minutes’ walk from the subway Minami-morimachi Station.

Tenjin Festival is nationally famous and it is relayed by television every year because it is one of the Japan's three biggest festivals.

They say that the Tenjin Festival have begun on June 1st, 951, two years after Osaka Tenmangu Shrine was enshrined, but has been canceled many times since then due to wars, unrest, and the spread of infectious diseases. Due to the COVIT-19 infection, normal festivals were not held from 2020 until that was classified as a Class 5 infectious disease in May 2023.

Yomiya festival (The previous date) had been held at July 24.

After the main shrine ritual in the morning, it had been held the God Spear flow ritual by child prodigy in the middle of the Dojima River.

When I had returned to the shrine, various religious association of this festival was entering shrine.

Main Festival had been held at July 25.

After various religious association of this festival was entering shrine, it was held Shinto ritual in the main shrine in the afternoon.

Then the Riku-Togyo (Land procession) departs following the sacred water carrying parade followed by the Sarutahiko on horseback and the float of Shinto God halberd carrying parades. Every year, I accompany the head of this festival procession. The parade had passed through the Osaka Central Public Hall, at last they went aboard the ships at the north of Tenjin-bashi Bridge. This year, I headed to the special viewing stand area on the opposite bank of the river from the Osaka Mint Bureau to photograph the fireworks being launched from two locations.

Kangyo-sai Ritual had held and then miyairi (entering to shrine) had started at 22:00, Otori portable shrine, Tama portable shrine entered to shrine.

I have been photographing this festival over 10 years, because that is held in very wide area, there are many events and changing a little in every year.
